Dilovar Nozirov, Dean of Academic Affairs

Dilovar Nozirov contributed as a co-author to an international scientific study focused on validating aerosol profiling products from the European Space Agency’s EarthCARE (Earth Cloud, Aerosol, and Radiation Explorer) satellite mission. The research evaluates the performance of the ATLID high-spectral-resolution lidar instrument by comparing satellite observations with ground-based PollyNET lidar measurements across multiple regions worldwide. The study demonstrates the strong capability of EarthCARE to resolve vertical structures of aerosols and clouds, while also identifying current limitations that are important for future algorithm improvements and scientific applications. This work supports the reliability of satellite-based atmospheric observations and contributes to advancing global climate and aerosol research.
